Kathryn Clark

Kathryn graduated with distinction from the Bath Spa MA Writing for Young People in 2017. She writes speculative and contemporary Young Adult novels, as well as short fiction for adults. Kathryn’s stories and novels have been listed, placed, and won a number of writing awards including: Times/Chicken House, Mslexia, Bath Children’s Novel, Searchlight First Chapter, Book Pipeline, and Arvon Novel First Chapter. Her short fiction has been published in various anthologies. In July 2025, her debut YA novel THINGS I LEARNED WHILE I WAS DEAD will be published by Faber.
Kathryn works as a freelance writing mentor, editor, and reader. She’s also available for writing events, literature festivals and workshops – online and in person.
Kathryn lives in Gloucestershire with her family and two dogs.
